Galran and Strega are suddenly approached by a woman with neck-length black hair. Her pointed ears mark her as an elf or half-elf, and she wears a simple but form-fitting gown.

"Fountain Street? There's nothing interesting there... how about something far more 'interesting' for just 5 gold?"

The Tabaxi looks the elf up and down. ”No thanks, wrong species,” she says.

"Aww, but you're so cute," she pouts, but then turns to Galran. "What about you, then? Or are you two...together?"

At this the Tabaxi tries to suppress laughter but quickly loses control. ”Oh gods no! I mean, no offense, but just look at him. An old dwarf and a young Tabaxi? It’s too rich!”

"Hah," the dwarf laughs from the belly. "No on all counts, lass. Ah'm a bit past me prime for all o' that. If ya know where Fountain Street is though, Ah'd appreciate the directions."

"Oh, alright... see over there?" She turns around and points at a street in the distance. "That's the Queenslane. Go down that for a few blocks, then take a left on Hollow Road, then it's a right onto Fountain Street."

Morgan shrugs. "Maybe they might," She comments. "Can't say I'm any better, I've just been bored out of my mind on leave and was looking for something exciting."

The Tabaxi looks back to the dwarf. ”Well I guess we know where to go now. Funny story is I was looking for the same place, probably to do the same job you are. Since we’re probably going to have to work together, you got a name crazy old man?”

”You mentioned earlier that it was indefinite, so it might be best to seek employ elsewhere,” Talliver agrees with a solemn nod. ”Did you enjoy the lifestyle?”

Morgan nods. "I may have been more heavy-handed than my superiors preferred, but it felt good to be out there and helping people. Making Neverwinter a better place through action, rather than the flowery words the folks always seemed to prefer."

Talliver chuckles. ”That’s quite unlike the creed of many guards I’ve met before.”

"Perhaps you've only experienced the wrong kind of guard," Morgan replies with a laugh, before shaking her head. "Nah, you're right, most of my fellows are in it for the power rush. I'm not the only good one, but we are a rarer breed than I prefer."

Talliver laughs goodheartedly at the reversal, and nods. ”Aye. Border town guards are the worst of the lot in my experience, high on their ability to say no for no’s sake. At any rate, I’m happy to have your sword at my side, Morgan. Well met, and great tidings of justice be with you.”

”Most people just call me Strega,” Strega replies. She starts walking toward the direction of Fountain Street. ”Best not tarry, lest we come across a prostitute I do want to fuck.”

Galran is the first to arrive at the meeting spot, followed closely by Strega. Morgan and Talliver arrive soon afterward. Nearby stands a human man who looks to be in his fifties or sixties.

"You're all here about the job? Good... I hope you can help me." He sighs. "So, about a year ago, my foolish daughter ran off and married a nobleman. Lord Bahadir, one of the richest men in Faerun. I don't know how she got his attention, but anyway... I don't care so much anymore that she's with him, but I do care 'cause it's been two months now since she sent a letter."

"So, I just need you to go check on her... but there's a catch. Lord Bahadir doesn't let anyone even near his manor unless they've performed some feat to impress him. That's why I can't just go there myself... and I guess you lot can't go there, either, until you've done something suitably impressive..."

”I see,” Strega replies, stroking her chin as she thinks for a moment. ”I’m not exactly in the business of extravagant displays to impress a noble, but I am in the business of helping people. Do you know what tends to impress this guy?”

"Well, as it happens, Lord Bahadir owns a game reserve, and I hear he's been having trouble with poachers. If you can get rid of them, that'll probably do the trick. Be careful though, they're skilled hunters. It won't be easy to find them, and I can't imagine they'll go quietly."

Strega nods. "Nothing too challenging. It shouldn't be too hard to get them out of the hunting grounds. I don't really like the idea of playing groundskeeper for some noble, though."

Not to mention I bet the poachers aren't doing anything that bad. Only a rich asshole tries to keep a large tract of land for his own amusement. The poachers probably make use of what they kill. Lord Bahadir probably makes trophies.

The man shrugs. "I dunno for sure. I imagine it's big mean critters what make nice trophies. So you'll probably have to watch out for 'em while watchin' out for those poachers as well."

Talliver, thumbing his chin, ponders aloud, ”What sort of man is Bahadir? Has your daughter given you indication he should be harming her?”
