”I really wanna hire folks to crew the other ship so we can still be admirals, but that seems a little far fetched,” Voca notes. ”Also, I feel like keeping the Breath of Embers might invite us in to a world of troubles.”

"Depending on how serious the troubles are we might get dragged in anyways just for having been on it," Cate counters. "Might as well take the firepower, pardon the pun, and keep the leisure elements for style."

"Our ship is certainly more spacious," says Zaxsha, visibly stretching out to show why she might care about that.

”It should be large enough if we aren’t all trying to fight in it, yeah?” Voca responds, but doubt shadows her tone.

"I agree," Misha nods. "The Breath is plenty large when we are not all trying to be in one place, especially now that the unscrupulous doctor has left us."

”I mean yeah, I had assumed as much,” Voca agrees. ”Definitely yes to their offer though?”

"Sure." Zaxsha nods, then turns back to Jori. "We will keep the Breath of Embers. You can study it while you're doing your repair work ... and could you maybe widen the doorways a bit, too?"

"Alright." Zaxsha turns back to the others. "For now, let's go talk to our new 'friend'..."

Cera treats the pale green man's injuries, at least to the point of rousing him from unconciousness; as he wakes, he looks around in a slight daze, "Where... My engines... You didn't hurt them?"

Voca shakes her head. ”We didn’t do any more to them than had already been done. It looks like the whole ship took a real beating.”

He nods, "I'm sorry, the damage to my home had driven me mad and I assumed it was your doing"

”You weren’t the first one to try to kill us. Didn’t come as much of a surprise,” Voca responds, looking past him. ”Were you the Breath’s engineer?”

"How were you useful?" asks Zaxsha. "And do you know anything about what they were doing or planning to do?"

"Ok." Zaxsha nods. "Well, that ship is ours now. Do you want to be part of our crew?"

"I only care about my engines, nothing more. Whether you would consider that part of the crew of the ship is yours to decide, but I would not say so," he shakes his head.

"Welcome aboard then." Zaxsha shrugs.

With the Breath of Embers still inoperable for a while, the crew use the Photon Runner to take Helena's body home.

When they arrive to Dromaritia they find a large group of Dromada waiting for them near the landing pad. They seem skittish but stand fast for their fallen.

Zaxsha carries the body out to them. "I didn't know her well, but I hope she rests in peace."
