Kingmaker Gameplay

Oleg takes a seat, rubbing his head in a mix of shock and confusion. "I guess I heard about good dragons, but one at my trading post? I'd have never thought... but, this is great news. Bandits aren't any match for a real honest to god dragon!"

With an apologetic look to 'Eka, "I- I'm sorry, I didn't think there was any chance he would buy it..."

"You say as you saw me get stabbed....twice....and I'm still injured from that. I think I'm actually quite injured from that. If it weren't for my fellows, you'd probably have bandits parading around as dragon-slayers right now." She looks to Sena. "My fault I guess. Should've waited longer. Still it wouldn't hurt to try next time."

"Well, I suppose," Oleg says. "But even still, it's kind of amazing to know an actual dragon is bothering to come help with my bandit problem. I figured even the good ones were too aloof to help out humans all that often."

"Well, I guess I was just raised right then!" She enthuses, patting Sena on the back.She didn't really want to admit the main motivator was to claim some land for herself, but if the bandits got cleared out either way, it was still good right?

Sena smiles and laughs, "Please, you raised me as much as I raised you!"

A bit later, when the captured bandit wakes up, he finds himself face to face with a kobold.

"Hi. You're gonna tell us everything you know about the Stag Lord," Spotty says with a toothy grin.

The bandit spits in spotty's face. "Like 'ell I will! Yer gonna get what's comin' to ya iffn' ya keep me tied up 'ere. I don't even need the Stag Lord's 'elp. Kressle will come an' gut ya. I'm 'er lieutenant!"

The man's eyes alight with some amount of terror. "Fuck! Look ah don't know where the Stag Lord is. I never met 'im."

"But this Kressle may...Which means we just have to figure out where she is. Do you know, my friend?" She flashes a grin with teeth just a little too sharp to be human.

"Much as I'm scared ah yer dragon, Kressle will kill me all the same iffn' ah tell ya where our camp is," the man replies. "If I'm dead either way, the dragon sounds faster."

"You tell us, and you'll be safe here," says Spotty. "We might even pardon your past crimes."

"What, ya lot think ah'm just gonna turn over a new leaf on a dime?" the man replies. "Don't work like that. Ah got plenty a blood on my hands, an' you know what? Ah like it. Ah'd go back to banditry soon as ah could. Yer protection ain't worth shit at that point."

Tolsh'eka casts a sidewise glace at Spotty.

"Go on then, get it over with," the man says, clearly indicating he isn't interested in talking anymore.

Spotty notices Eka's glance.

"Y'know what, never mind," he says to the bandit. "You're not even worth killing. You can just stay here and rot."

The bandit laughs. "Buncha scaly cowards. Meek little kobold can't even back up 'is threat. Kressle's gonna eat you alive."

They leave the bandit tied up and go to Oleg.

"Hey, do you know anything about a bandit woman named Kressle?"

Oleg's face sours. "That's... Svetlana's sister."

Spotty frowns. "Do you think she could be reasoned with?"

"I don't know honestly," Oleg replies with a sigh. "Svetlana's gonna be real upset to hear about this. I assume you're asking about it cause she's with the bandits. We'd hoped that wasn't the case, but, well she ran off and stole my wife's wedding ring about 4 months ago. She'd been out here to get away from city life like the two of us. But she was never satisfied with anything."
