Dawn of Worlds: Forumotion edition
Welcome to Dawn of Worlds! In this game, we RP as gods creating a world.
Official Rules PDF
In the beginning, the world is a blank slate, with nothing but water and flat, featureless dirt. Throughout the game, each player takes turns filling the world with their own brand of environments, flora and fauna, and eventually, sentient races.
As an example, here’s Zhadum, my god from the previous game:
Each player takes their turn by rolling 2d6 and adding the result to their Power pool, then using that power to shape the world as they see fit. For example, each use of Shape Land/Water allows you to reshape one rectangular section of the map in any way you wish. However, since the map for this game has rather large sections, the cost increases each time you do it, resetting only when a new age begins. There are three ages - the Age of Land, the Age of Races, and the Age of Relations.
Here’s a full list of the actions you can take along with descriptions and power costs for each age.
At the end of your turn, any power you haven’t spent gets added to your pool for the next round. If you end your turn with less than 5 power left, you get +1 bonus for the next round. Each consecutive time you do this, the bonus increases- up to a maximum of +3.
After posting your turn, you should tag the next player in Discord to let them know it's their turn. Each player has 24 hours to take their turn.
Any time you alter the map (by shaping or enchanting land/water, building a city, etc.) you should take the map file and change it accordingly, posting the new map along with your action. This should also be done each time a race is created by writing the name of the race on/near their area of origin.
As the game goes on, it gets more and more likely that other players will fuck around with your creations. Try not to get upset about it. It’s just a game, and that’s part of the game. But if something really rubs you the wrong way, talk to the other player about it. Or talk to me, if needed.
...I think that’s about it. Have fun!

Re: Dawn of Worlds: Forumotion edition
The Driven Wind gazes down upon this world, newly formed by these new gods. The God of the Open Sky draws his blades across the center of this creation, to divide the land. In the wake of such terrible blows, the wind screams to life, shredding the barren land beneath in an eternal wind, scouring the rock beneath.

Gienna alights upon the new world, the very land rising towards the heavens to meet her. Walking to the base of her new mountain, she runs fingers along the ground, creating a lake of life-granting water. As simple green life spreads from the lake, she proceeds south, a river flowing form the lake to follow her.

Tash alights upon the world and tuts at its lifeless state. There's little he can do about the lack of people at this stage, but at least he can make it somewhat brighter. At his command, the land around the southernmost tip of the world becomes vibrant and green, and the waters in its bay pure and blue.

Ambergris grins with blades for teeth as it shapes the new world. A band of the upper earth collapses as it begins to shape it, turning red hot.
Elements begin to change as it works its will, but without anything to separate them while it works, what is left is a roiling mass of indistinct sludge as physics crushes the resultant construct...

As is the right of all gods, The Driven Wind places markers at the far points of it's domain. To the far east and west of the land, the clouds gather and rain down eternal thunderstorms that scar and pock the barren earth, illuminating the land for miles around. To the high north and south, great waterspouts touch down, drilling into the ocean.
Then, the Great Bolt turns its attention to the then of metal that bubbles upon it's earth.
Starting Power: 1+1+9
Actions: Shape Climate x4 (x2 Eternal Thunderstorms at each end of the landmass, x2 Eternal Waterspouts at both sides of the map

Continuing to the south, Gienna leads her river until it finally meets the sea, life continuing to spread from the waters. As the fresh water of her river mixes with the salt of her new bay, she flicks her wrist and bolsters the life along the edge, plains grass merging and sprouting into great trees instead. As her forest settles into its new existence, she turns back to her mountain. Returning to the lake at its base, she touches the water, infusing it with purer life energy, such that any who drink from it would be healed.

With a thunderous crash of waves, Levia wakes from her slumber deep below the sea's surface, and as she takes her first breath a whirlpool forms above her domain, with all the ocean's currents eventually leading to her. But the ocean does not only take, it gives back as well, and so every five years the whirlpool reverses, pushing out all that it had swallowed towards the continent's northwestern shore.

Re: Dawn of Worlds: Forumotion edition
The molten sheet churns and bubbles. Then, it lifts, all at once, to form a giant bubble, suspended in the sky, no longer beholden by gravity. Then, it fractures, bursting in a great explosion.
Solids turn into large blades of metals of all sorts, floating as great islets in the sky, into platforms dipping into a bottomless abyss. The surfaces exposed to air are a synthesis of white, but the deeper you go, the quality of metal varies wildly-- as does its type. It's a complete tossup to what can be found.
However, the largest changes are to liquids, which flow upwards in trickling streams and droplets, glimmering as they reach their spindly digits for the sky.
In the depths, it is magma, almost completely solid. The lava bubbling upwards starts as a gold-like substance, which bobs upwards in globe-like droplets. If touched at this phase, it quickly resolves into mimic-steel. When forged with other metals, it will rapidly transform into the metals it is in contact with like a glaze, creating sockets for enchantment, starting with a random one as the 'core' if none is already present. Enchantment cores produced this way are usually of lesser quality, but have exceptions.
As the metal rises, it becomes a thick, flowing ambrosia. The liquid binds materials together and makes them more accepting to changing shape temporarily. When encased in a fragile, one-use ampoule, it becomes a vial of liquid luck-- occasionally bestowing a small boost of luck. Adding materials results in a random potion of anything you can think of-- also in potency and quality. It's said that the more valuable the item used is to the user, and the more perilous the situation, the more likely it is to be an odds-changing solution. It's said that the liquid smells faintly of alcohol, and tastes delicious.
And even further up, liquids evaporates into a refractive gas, like mirrored glass. It smells faintly of alcohol, and if harnessed via combustion, can be used to carve augmentation etchings onto nearly any surface imaginable. When the gas is contained in a glass orb, it can be used to house an enchantment.
Starting Power: 1+5 = 6

Nahesa continues her spread of life along the waterways and into the landscape. This time though, she decides to add more terrain features. She adds great towering mountains and a volcano along the peninsula, and a lake in the interior to provide much needed fresh water to living creatures. She can't, however, bring the right warmth to her lake jungle yet.
