For Nari, the coming weeks pass uneventfully, with the mage beginning to work on repairing the scroll of Kakishon with the help of Tereza, and Almah's funds, as she oversees the additional construction being done on the Temple of Nethys in Kelmarane. Lydia and Nari share tea often, promising to do so in the future as well, no matter how far their travels may take them. With both being extremely powerful mages, this proves to be no problem.

Once the Temple is completely rebuilt to Nari's satisfaction, making it the fourth or fifth largest temple to Nethys in the region, Nari takes the vacation to the plane of water, spending weeks luxuriating with Shazathared in her palace. Nari's infatuation with the marid princess does blossom into more over the course of her stay there, though, neither are too interested in a committed relationship, and resolve to be long term, non-exclusive friends with benefits.

Towards the end of the vacation, Nari asks Shazathared to introduce her to some of the more powerful mages of marid society, seeking to learn more about the manipulation of water and ice from them, which they readily agree to, due to her accomplishments in freeing Shazathared and helping to slay Jhavul.

The sabbatical comes to an end, and Nari's next destination is the plane of Fire. Leveraging the temporary noble title gained from being an owner of Bayt-al Bazan, as well as the social benefit among many efreet from having helped to kill Jhavul, Nari finds an efreet willing to teach her more about fire magic, in exchange for a large part of the share Nari is due from the sale of Bayt-al Bazan. Once the sale is finalized, Nari's business in the City of Brass is done, and she returns to the material plane to work in earnest on repairing the scroll of Kakishon.

It takes a solid couple of months of focused research, even with Almah providing any material aid she can, referring Nari to scholars on related subjects, and Tereza helping for parts, but the scroll does get restored to full working order. In the course of repairing Kakishon, Nari learns how to subtly manipulate the fabric of Kakishon itself, allowing her to tweak how fast or slow time passes within Kakishon, as well as many other useful tricks. Dilix is released from the scroll, feeling like over twice the time had passed, but holds up her end of the bargain, and leaves to wander the world, finally free of any masters.

During this time, Taevanith visits the temple as well, ever the chatterer, becoming fast friends with Nari, and interested accompanying the mage on some future adventures, though it will take some time for the dragon to grow enough to take on anything too dangerous.

With the major feat of having repaired the scroll of Kakishon added under her belt, Nari and Tereza decide to call Arcanotheign, Herald of Nethys, Zastoran present as well. A table is laden with strong flavored, regional food, decorated with potent flowers, as the pair cast their most powerful conjuration spell, piercing through the fabric between planes to create a gate through which to call Arcanotheign. The woman shaped cloud of swirling black and white energy flickers like lightning, with raw magical power playing about her fingertips, as she floats into the room, curious about what the mages have called her for. When it becomes clear that Nari and Tereza only seek a pleasant conversation from her, nothing more, the Herald is delighted, and the four enjoy many hours of talking. Eventually, Arcanotheign must go, but an open invitation to visit Nari's temple of Nethys stands anytime she wishes to come by.

With this done, Nari takes advantage of Almah's offer, beginning the repairs on the palace of Kakishon. It's soon found that a number of very dangerous creatures reside within the dungeons beneath Nex's palace, and those are sealed for now, until a later date when Nari feels like delving into them.

Wanting to continue her studies of elemental magic, Nari travels to the Plane of Air, then the Plane of Earth, learning all that she can. Unfortunately, not long after Nari returns from the Plane of Earth, Zastoran's time comes, and the old halfling passes away. Nari is hit hard by this, even going so far as to travel to the boneyard itself to have one last conversation with her mentor, before the funeral is held in the Temple, his remains cremated, and placed in an urn, interred within the temple's crypt.

Nari continues on her travels and studies after this, first paying a visit to Akhanefti, Nethy's personal divine realm, a desert island floating in the Maelstrom. Tereza comes along as well, and the pair continue their journey after this to Elysium, Heaven, and Nirvana, where Nari is well recieved as one of those who slayed Jhavul. Here, Nari learns and advances her divine magic.

At this point, five years have passed, and Nari feels ready to take on the challenges below Nex's palace in Kakishon. She gathers her allies, Giex and Haleen up for an adventure, Tereza and Arcanotheign joining as companions interested in learning all that they can, and Felliped and Shazathared never being ones to miss a good story. Making sure time on the material plane will pass more slowly than their time on Kakishon, the group heads into Nex's palace dungeon.
